Our Enterprise
Punky! the Emu

We have been working commercially as Permaculture practitioners and trading as Yilgarn Traders and the Drylands Permaculture Nursery, since 1989.

Operating as a sole trader and primary producer has given us the independence to direct our profits into the development of our research farm and education centre. It also provides us with an entrepreneurial motivation to deliver high quality products and services that support sustainable livelihood and education.

To improve our capacity to engage with our local communities and markets, we are working to establish a benevolent foundation.

As an 'applied knowledge-based' organisation, the foundation will build upon the successful commercial work conducted on our farm and provide similarly driven individuals and organisations with the means to co-contribute to an enterprise that has already produced practical solutions to sustainability and has the potential to multiply it's effectiveness.

We welcome any inquires for offers of support, and will soon be providing a prospectus that details the strategies and activities of our organisation.
